Online Employee Relations Manager

Location: Remote Annual Salary: $82,019 Position Overview: We seek a skilled and dedicated Online Employee Relations Manager to join our dynamic team. This remote position fosters a positive work environment and manages employee relations online. The ideal candidate will have a strong human resources background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex employee issues while promoting a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Employee Relations Management:
    • I will serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations concerns and issues, addressing and resolving conflicts promptly and professionally.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and unbiased resolution.
  2. Policy Development and Implementation:
    • Develop, review, and update employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
    • Communicate policy changes and updates to employees and provide training to ensure understanding and adherence.
  3. Performance Management:
    • Assist in developing and implementing performance management systems, including setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback.
    • Support managers in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans to enhance employee performance and productivity.
  4. Employee Engagement and Retention:
    • Promote a positive work culture by organizing and facilitating employee engagement activities and initiatives.
    • Monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback mechanisms, analyze results to identify areas for improvement, and implement action plans.
  5. Conflict Resolution and Mediation:
    • Mediate disputes between employees or management, aiming to resolve conflicts amicably and maintain a harmonious work environment.
    • Provide coaching and counseling to employees and managers to enhance conflict resolution skills and prevent potential issues.
  6. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies related to employee relations.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases, including investigations, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
    • Prepare and present reports on employee relations metrics, trends, and issues to senior management.
  7. Training and Development:
    • Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, and practical communication topics.
    • Collaborate with other HR team members to identify training needs and enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  8. Collaboration and Team Support:
    • Work closely with other HR professionals, managers, and leaders to support overall HR objectives and initiatives.
    • Participate in HR projects and contribute to developing strategies to improve employee relations and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or human resources, with a strong understanding of employment laws and best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing and resolving employee conflicts, conducting investigations, and implementing HR policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
