Remote Cybersecurity Policy Compliance Operations Specialist
Why This Role Matters in Todayâs Cyber Landscape
Every day, organizations struggle to stay ahead of cyber threats. But itâs not just about firewalls and software. Compliance policies and operational oversight are what hold the whole thing together.
Thatâs where
you come in.
Youâll help make sure teams are following security protocols, systems are audited regularly, and documentation is always up-to-date. Basically? Youâll be one of the folks making sure our clients donât end up in the headlines for the wrong reasons.
What a Typical Day Might Look Like
No two days are the same, and thatâs a good thing. One moment, youâre reviewing an internal access control policy. The next, youâre chatting with a client about how theyâre handling third-party risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update cybersecurity policies to meet evolving compliance frameworks (think: NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Support internal security audits and prep documentation for external ones
- Track risk assessment activities and flag areas needing improvement
- Keep tabs on regulatory updates and help translate them into plain English
- Help train non-technical teams on best practices (without making it boring)
- Monitor tools and dashboards for compliance drift or alerts
- Jump in on incident response, if needed, to document actions and follow-ups
Real-World Problems Youâll Help Solve
Letâs be honest: policies arenât glamorous. But they are crucial.
Ever dealt with a company that didnât know where their data lived? Or one that hadnât updated a security procedure in three years? Yeah. Weâve been there too.
Youâll help clients avoid those traps. Your work will keep systems tight, people informed, and documentation rock-solid. Itâs not about checking boxesâitâs about making security
work.
The Team Culture: People First, Always
Remote work can feel isolating. We get it.
Thatâs why we keep things close-knit. Weekly check-ins. Random Slack banter. Coffee chats where we donât talk about work. Our cybersecurity ops lead, Tanya, once said, "We're serious about security, but never at the cost of humanity."
Youâre not just a title here. Youâre part of the mission.
What You Bring to the Table
We care more about what youâve done than where you did it. Titles donât impress us. Thoughtful action does.
