Lab Technician

Job Description: As a Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in our laboratory operations, assisting with various scientific experiments, research projects, and analytical tasks. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Sample Collection and Processing: Collecting samples from diverse sources and following proper labeling, storage, and handling protocols. Processing samples according to established procedures and preparing them for analysis.
2. Laboratory Testing: Conducting various tests and experiments using sophisticated equipment and techniques. This may include chemical analyses, microbiological assays, and biochemical tests.
3. Data Entry and Documentation: Recording accurate and detailed observations, test results, and experimental procedures in laboratory notebooks or electronic databases. Maintaining organized records and ensuring compliance with data integrity standards.
4. Quality Control and Assurance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and precision of measurements, participate in quality control procedures, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
5. Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Identifying potential hazards and taking proactive measures to mitigate risks.
6. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with colleagues, scientists, and other stakeholders to coordinate laboratory activities and achieve research objectives. Communicating effectively to convey experimental findings, discuss methodologies, and address concerns or inquiries.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field. Relevant certifications or training programs are a plus.
• Experience: While experience in a laboratory setting is preferred, we welcome applications from fresher candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in the field and a willingness to learn.
• Skills: Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and scientific instrumentation. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also important for effective teamwork.
• Age: Candidates must be between 18 and 60 years old.
