HR Generalist (Remote)

Position Overview: We seek a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As an HR Generalist, you will be a crucial part of our Human Resources department, providing comprehensive support across various HR functions to ensure a smooth and efficient workplace. You will be responsible for handling day-to-day HR operations, implementing HR policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall success of our HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR-related issues.
    • Facilitate conflict resolution and coach employees and managers on best practices for addressing workplace issues.
    • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve retention and job satisfaction.
  2. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create detailed job descriptions.
    • Manage the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
    • Coordinate and oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  3. Compliance and Record-Keeping:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and compliance documentation.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and legal requirements.
  4. Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for employees.
    • Develop and deliver training programs on various HR topics, including performance management, diversity and inclusion, and company policies.
    • Support career development initiatives and performance improvement plans.
  5. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
    • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and provide information on plan options and eligibility.
    • Coordinate open enrollment periods and communicate changes in benefits to employees.
  6. Performance Management:
    • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
    • Assist managers in developing performance improvement plans and addressing performance issues.
    • Monitor and track employee performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  7. HR Policies and Procedures:
    • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to align with company goals and legal requirements.
    • Communicate changes in policies to employees and provide training as needed.
    • Ensure consistency in policy application and address any policy-related concerns.
  8. Employee Engagement:
    • Implement and support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work environment.
    • Organize and coordinate company events, team-building activities, and employee recognition programs.
    • Gather and analyze employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
  9. HR Projects and Initiatives:
    • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and enhance organizational effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with other HR team members to develop and implement strategies that support the company’s objectives.
    • Stay current with HR trends and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement in HR functions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a remote or virtual work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with remote work dynamics and virtual team management is a plus.
