Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation:
- Ensure the safe and timely transportation of passengers or goods to various locations within Mumbai and surrounding areas.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of all passengers and other road users.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor promptly.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, addressing their needs and ensuring a pleasant travel experience.
- Communicate effectively and politely with passengers, offering assistance as required.
- Route Planning:
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption.
- Use navigation tools and maps to stay updated on traffic conditions and road closures.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including distances traveled, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during the journey.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to driving duties, including logs and reports.
- Emergency Handling:
- Respond effectively in emergencies, ensuring the safety of passengers and following proper procedures.
- Keep emergency contact information readily available and ensure the vehicle is equipped with necessary safety gear.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a commercial setting. Experience with various types of vehicles is a plus.
- License: Valid driving license (LMV/HMV) and a clean driving record. Must comply with all local driving laws and regulations.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Mumbai roads and traffic patterns. Ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively.
- Communication: Good communication skills in English and Hindi (additional languages are an advantage).
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including long hours of driving.
- Background Check: Willingness to undergo a background check and driving assessment.
