Corrections Policy

We work hard to get every detail right, but mistakes can happen. When they do, we fix them openly.

How to report a mistake

Use our contact page and include the link to the story, what is wrong and, if possible, a link to the official source that shows the correct information.

What we do

We check the report against the official source. If the story is wrong, we correct it as soon as possible and add a short correction note at the end of the story that says what changed and when. The updated time on the story also changes.

Small fixes

Spelling or formatting fixes that do not change the meaning of a story may be made without a correction note.

Removed stories

We remove a story only when it cannot be corrected, for example if the official notice was withdrawn. In that case we may publish a short update explaining why.
