Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Virtual Sustainability Program Manager to lead and oversee our sustainability initiatives on a remote basis. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in environmental sustainability, program management, and remote team coordination. As the Virtual Sustainability Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing sustainability strategies that align with our organizational goals and contribute to a greener future. Annual Salary: $95,000 Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and Implement Sustainability Strategies:
   • Create and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies and programs that align with organizational goals and objectives.
   • Collaborate with senior leadership to set sustainability targets and develop actionable plans to achieve them.
   • Monitor and assess progress towards sustainability goals, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
2. Project Management:
   • Lead and manage sustainability projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
   • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and effective communication.
3. Remote Team Coordination:
   • Manage and support remote teams working on sustainability projects, providing guidance, feedback, and motivation.
   • Facilitate virtual meetings, workshops, and training sessions to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
   • Ensure remote team members have the necessary resources and support to effectively contribute to sustainability initiatives.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
   • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to sustainability performance and program effectiveness.
   • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and achievements.
   • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend improvements and inform strategic decision-making.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, vendors, and community organizations.
   • Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and gather feedback to enhance program effectiveness.
   • Represent the organization at virtual conferences, webinars, and other industry events related to sustainability.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
   • Ensure that all sustainability programs and activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
   • Identify potential risks related to sustainability initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
   • Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and technologies in the sustainability field.
7. Budget Management:
   • Develop and manage budgets for sustainability programs and projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
   • Monitor expenditures and provide financial reports to track budget performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
8. Training and Development:
   • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees and stakeholders about sustainability practices and principles.
   • Promote a culture of sustainability within the organization through ongoing education and engagement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability program management, including experience in a remote work environment.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
• Proven experience managing projects and remote teams effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in project management software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
