Core Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain high-availability MongoDB clusters that power real-time web and mobile platforms.
• Proactively monitor database health—spotting patterns, surfacing anomalies, and recommending creative solutions.
• Partner with engineering and support to troubleshoot live incidents, restore service, and perform root cause analysis.
• Guide application teams in schema design, indexing, aggregation optimization, and query efficiency.
• Champion robust security practices, overseeing role-based access, encryption-at-rest, and audit logging.
• Automate routine tasks using scripts or infrastructure-as-code tools to ensure consistency across deployments.
• Lead seamless data migrations, upgrades, and sharding strategies as we expand to new markets or products.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and test failovers to ensure our data is always protected.
• Offer mentoring moments, sharing MongoDB wisdom in onboarding sessions or tech talks.
