Position Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and highly skilled Online Grant Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Grant Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial aspects of grants, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of grant expenditures, including verifying and reconciling financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial records for all grants, ensuring compliance with funding agency guidelines and regulations.
- Budget Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports and statements related to grant activities.
- Monitor grant budgets and expenditures to identify variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for grantors, including quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational financial policies and grant regulations.
- Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits, including responding to auditor inquiries and implementing audit recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of grant regulations and accounting standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Grant Application and Proposal Support:
- Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to develop grant budgets and financial plans for grant proposals.
- Review and provide input on financial sections of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and organizational policies.
- Assist in preparing budget justifications and other financial documentation required for grant submissions.
- Financial Systems Management:
- Utilize online financial systems and tools to track and manage grant finances efficiently.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the grant management system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to online financial systems, coordinating with IT support as needed.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial inquiries related to grants, both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with program staff, finance team members, and funding agencies to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on grant financial procedures and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in grant financial management.
- Stay current with trends and developments in grant financial management and online financial systems.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance financial analysis and grant management skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Masterβs degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CGFM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, grant management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of grant accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using online financial systems and tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, remote environment.
