Job Description:
We seek a skilled and dedicated Elevator Installer to join our team in New York. As an Elevator Installer, you will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of elevator systems in various residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in elevator installation, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Annual Salary: $72,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install new elevator systems in buildings according to the manufacturer's specifications and local codes.
- Assemble and install elevator components, including cab, doors, control systems, and related equipment.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing elevator systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in elevators and associated systems.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and building codes throughout the installation and maintenance processes.
- Ensure that all installations and repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for maintenance or upgrades.
- Address and resolve customer concerns and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Complete and submit the necessary paperwork, including service reports and compliance documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Elevator Installer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of elevator systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes related to elevator installation and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and address technical issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and relevant technical certification or training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
