About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Digital Fundraising Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital fundraising strategies to drive donor engagement, increase online donations, and expand our digital footprint. As a Digital Fundraising Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our online fundraising efforts. Your work will involve leveraging various digital platforms, analyzing performance data, and staying ahead of industry trends to optimize our campaigns. You will collaborate closely with marketing, communications, and program teams to create compelling content that resonates with our supporters and potential donors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Fundraising Strategy Development
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital fundraising strategy that aligns with our overall fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities for online fundraising, including emerging platforms, tools, and technologies.
  • Set measurable goals and KPIs for digital campaigns, regularly monitoring progress and making adjustments to optimize performance.
2. Campaign Management and Execution
  • Planned, designed, and executed digital fundraising campaigns across multiple platforms, including email, social media, website, and crowdfunding sites.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of digital fundraising campaigns, from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and effective results.
  • Collaborate with the content and design teams to create engaging and persuasive fundraising materials, including emails, landing pages, social media posts, and ads.
3. Donor Engagement and Retention
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and retain online donors, focusing on building long-term relationships.
  • Create personalized and targeted donor journeys that increase donor satisfaction and lifetime value.
  • Utilize CRM and email marketing platforms to segment donor lists and tailor messaging to different audiences.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Analyze digital fundraising campaign performance data, generating insights to inform future strategies and improve ROI.
  • Produce regular reports on key metrics, including donation growth, donor retention rates, and campaign performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine digital fundraising tactics and optimize ongoing campaigns.
5. Social Media and Content Marketing
  • Leverage social media platforms to boost fundraising efforts, creating shareable content that drives awareness and donations.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance our online presence and engage with a broader audience.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all digital channels.
6. Website Management and Optimization
  • Oversee the management and optimization of our website's donation pages, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Implement A/B testing and other optimization techniques to improve conversion rates and enhance donor engagement.
  • Work closely with web developers to troubleshoot issues and implement new features that enhance online fundraising efforts.
7. Stay Current with Industry Trends
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital fundraising, digital marketing, and nonprofit technology.
  • Attend webinars, conferences, and training sessions to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Share insights and learnings with the broader team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital fundraising, digital marketing, or a similar role within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including email, social media, SEO, and PPC.
  • Experience using CRM systems and email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Mailchimp).
  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a willingness to experiment with new ideas.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising regulations and best practices is a plus.
