Food Preparation
- Accurately slice, weigh, and package meats, cheeses, and deli items.
- Assemble sandwiches, salads, and deli trays per store recipes and customer specifications.
- Follow food storage guidelines to maintain quality and prevent waste.
- Assist in portioning and cutting meat as needed.
Customer Service
- Provide a warm welcome and assist customers with their selections.
- Answer product inquiries and offer recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure efficient and courteous service at all times.
Sanitation & Safety
- Keep workstations, deli equipment, and utensils sanitized at all times.
- Follow hygiene practices, including frequent handwashing.
- Ensure food items are stored and displayed according to health regulations.
- Maintain accurate product labeling and allergen awareness.
Stocking & Inventory
- Monitor stock levels and replenish items as needed.
- Rotate inventory regularly to maintain freshness.
- Check and discard expired or damaged products.
- Assist in tracking and ordering inventory supplies.
Cash Handling
- Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely.
- Issue receipts and manage returns or exchanges following company policy.
- Maintain a balanced cash register throughout shifts.
Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with other deli staff to maintain smooth operations.
- Communicate with management regarding stock and customer needs.
- Help onboard and train new team members.
- Participate in promotional events and new product introductions.

Experience
- Prior experience in a deli, grocery store, or food service role is advantageous.
