Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation

✔️ Operate heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders accurately and efficiently. ✔️ Perform grading, trenching, land clearing, and material movement as part of construction activities. ✔️ Assist with roadwork, foundation excavation, and other essential site preparation tasks. ✔️ Follow blueprints and engineering plans to execute assigned tasks correctly. ✔️ Use advanced technology such as GPS and laser leveling tools for enhanced accuracy.

Maintenance & Safety

✔️ Conduct routine equipment inspections and carry out preventive maintenance. ✔️ Address minor repairs and report major mechanical issues for immediate attention. ✔️ Follow all safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, and wear proper protective gear. ✔️ Keep work areas organized and maintain all equipment and tools. ✔️ Identify and mitigate potential hazards to maintain a safe work environment.

Communication & Collaboration

✔️ Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and team members to ensure smooth project execution. ✔️ Provide regular updates on work progress and flag any challenges requiring attention. ✔️ Assist in training new operators by sharing knowledge and best practices. ✔️ Collaborate with ground crews and construction professionals to ensure efficient workflow.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Certification

✔️ At least 2 years of experience operating heavy construction machinery. ✔️ Valid heavy equipment operator certification or equivalent qualification. ✔️ OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification (preferred but not mandatory). ✔️ A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is beneficial but not required.

Skills & Knowledge

✔️ Strong understanding of construction site safety and OSHA regulations. ✔️ Ability to read and work from technical drawings and blueprints. ✔️ Excellent coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail. ✔️ Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. ✔️ Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. ✔️ Physically fit to handle long working hours and demanding job conditions. ✔️ Basic mechanical knowledge for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment. ✔️ A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not mandatory.
