How this job application form works
You reached this page from the Apply button on a job listing. The job title and category at the top of the form came with that button, so the employer knows exactly which opening your application belongs to. You cannot edit them here, and that is on purpose: it keeps every application tied to the right role.
There is no account to create and no login. You fill in your details once, attach your resume if you have one ready, and press Send Application. This online job application takes about two minutes. Applying is free, and nobody at Naukri Mitra will ever ask you to pay to be considered for a job.
- Check the job title at the top. If it is not the job you meant to apply for, go back and use the Apply button on the correct listing.
- Fill in your contact details: your name, an email you check daily and a phone number that works on WhatsApp.
- Pick your city from the suggestions. State and country fill in by themselves.
- Choose your experience, add a few key skills and upload your resume.
- Send the application. You will see a confirmation on the screen straight away.
What to write in each field, and why it matters
A recruiter going through applications usually spends less than a minute on each one before deciding whether to call. Small details in the form decide whether yours gets that call.
Full name
Write your name the way it appears on your Aadhaar, PAN or degree certificate. If you are shortlisted, the same name will go on your offer letter and later into payroll and provident fund records, so a mismatch now can cause delays at joining.
Email and phone
Most hiring teams make the first contact by phone or WhatsApp and send interview details by email. Use a professional-looking email address (your name rather than a nickname) and keep that number reachable for the next couple of weeks. Missed calls from unknown numbers are often recruiters.
Your city
Start typing and choose your city from the list. Employers use location to plan interviews, judge commute time for office roles and, for remote roles, to check time zones and payroll rules. Choosing from the list keeps the city, state and country spelling consistent, which makes your application easier to filter and find.
Experience
Select the total time you have worked in paid roles, including internships longer than a few months. If you are just out of college, choose Fresher. There is nothing wrong with that: many openings are meant for freshers, and an honest answer saves everyone time.
Key skills
Add four to six skills that match the job description, separated by commas, for example Excel, Tally, GST filing, English communication. Use the same words the job post uses. Recruiters often search their inbox for those exact terms.
Short note
Two or three lines are enough. Mention why this role suits you, your notice period if you are working, and your earliest joining date. A short note works like a mini cover letter and is often the first thing a hiring manager reads.
Resume file: format, size and file name
Upload your resume as a PDF where you can. A PDF looks the same on every phone and laptop, while a Word file can lose its layout on a different device. DOC and DOCX are accepted too. Keep the file under 2MB; a text resume of one or two pages is usually well under 500KB unless it has large photos in it.
Name the file clearly, such as Priya-Sharma-Accountant-Resume.pdf, rather than final_new_2.pdf. If you do not have a resume ready, you can still send the application. The details you enter in the form are enough for a first screening, and you can share your resume later when the recruiter calls.
If your resume needs work, a simple one-page format with a summary, skills, experience and education is what most employers in India prefer. Resume writing services and online resume builders can help with layout, but the content (what you actually did and achieved) has to come from you.
Applying for a job in another city or a remote job
You can apply for openings outside your home city. Enter the city you live in now, and use the short note to say whether you are ready to relocate and how soon. Some employers offer relocation support or a joining bonus for outstation hires, so it is worth asking at the interview stage.
For work-from-home roles, employers look for a quiet place to work, a reliable broadband connection with a mobile hotspot as backup, and a laptop that can run video calls without trouble. Mention these in your note if the job is remote. Remote roles with companies outside India may pay in foreign currency, so check how the salary will be paid and how taxes will be handled before you accept an offer.
Applying for fresher jobs
Freshers are hired in large numbers for customer support, sales, data entry, accounts, back office and trainee roles. Without work history, your application has to show that you can learn and that you are dependable. A few things help:
- List college projects, internships, part-time work or volunteering under key skills or in your note.
- Mention any short professional course or certification you have completed, with the platform name.
- Apply to roles that clearly say fresher or 0β1 year, rather than ones that ask for five years of experience.
- Keep your phone on and answer calls politely. Many fresher hiring calls are short screening calls to check communication.
What happens after you send your application
Your application goes to the hiring team for this role. If your profile matches, a recruiter will usually reach out within one to two weeks by phone, WhatsApp or email. High-volume roles can move within a day or two; senior roles often take longer.
If you have not heard back in two weeks, it usually means the role has been filled or other candidates matched more closely. Do not take it personally. Keep applying to similar roles, and adjust your skills line to match each job description more closely. Applying twice for the same job does not help; the second application is treated as a duplicate.
Common reasons applications are not shortlisted include a city too far from an office job, experience well below what the role asks for, missing contact details and skills that do not match the job post. Each of these can be fixed in your next application.

Understanding the salary in a job offer: CTC, in-hand pay, PF and TDS
Salary figures in India are often quoted as CTC, or cost to company. CTC is the total amount the employer spends on you in a year, and it is almost always higher than the money that reaches your bank account every month. Before you accept an offer, ask for the salary break-up and look for these parts:
- Basic salary: usually a large part of the package. Many other parts, such as PF and gratuity, are calculated on it.
- Allowances: house rent allowance (HRA), travel and other allowances. Some can lower your taxable income if you claim them correctly.
- Provident fund (PF): where it applies, you and your employer each contribute 12% of your basic wages to your EPF account every month. It is a long-term saving for you, but your share is deducted from your monthly pay.
- Income tax (TDS): your employer deducts tax from your salary every month based on your expected yearly income and the tax regime you choose. At the end of the year you receive a TDS certificate that you use when filing your income tax return.
- Variable pay and bonus: performance-linked amounts that are not guaranteed. Check how and when they are paid.
A simple way to compare two offers is to ask each employer for the expected monthly in-hand salary after PF and tax. That number, not CTC, decides your monthly budget.
Employee benefits worth checking before you join
Two jobs with the same salary can be very different once benefits are counted. Ask about these at the offer stage:
- Health insurance: many companies cover employees under a group health insurance policy, sometimes including spouse, children and parents. Check the sum insured, whether family members are included and whether you pay any part of the premium.
- ESIC: employees earning up to the government wage limit are covered under the Employees' State Insurance scheme, which provides medical care and cash benefits.
- Gratuity: a lump sum usually payable after five years of continuous service with the same employer.
- Term life and accident cover: some employers add these at no cost to you.
- Leave policy: casual, sick and earned leave, and whether unused leave carries forward or is paid out.
Documents and background verification after selection
Once you are selected, the employer will ask for documents to complete your joining. Keeping scanned copies ready on your phone saves days:
- Identity and address proof (Aadhaar, PAN; passport if you have one)
- Education certificates and mark sheets
- Relieving letter and experience letters from previous employers
- The last three months' salary slips, if you have worked before
- Bank account details and a cancelled cheque for salary credit
- Your UAN (Universal Account Number) if you already have a PF account
Many companies run a background verification before or soon after joining. A verification agency checks your previous employment, education and address, and some roles also need a police verification. It happens only with your written consent. The details you give in your application and resume should match your documents, because mismatches are the most common reason verification gets stuck.
Notice period and joining date
If you are working right now, your current employer will expect you to serve a notice period, commonly 30 to 90 days in India. Mention it in your note. Some employers can wait, others need people to join quickly and may ask whether you can buy out part of the notice. Never resign from your current job until you have the offer letter in writing.
Certifications and online courses that can improve your chances
If you keep applying for a type of role and not getting calls, a short certification can close the gap. Employers look at relevant, recent learning, not the number of certificates. Some examples that often help:
- Accounts and finance: Tally with GST, advanced Excel, payroll processing.
- Digital marketing: Google Ads and Google Analytics certifications, social media marketing.
- IT and data: cloud certifications, SQL, Python, data analytics.
- Customer support and sales: spoken English and communication courses, CRM tools.
- Project and quality roles: project management and Six Sigma certifications.
Before you pay for any online course, check who issues the certificate, whether employers in your field know it and whether there is a free or low-cost option. Government skill programmes and many university-backed online courses are recognised by employers.
