Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain process, including procurement, production, distribution, and logistics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain objectives with business goals.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, while maximizing turnover and efficiency. Utilize advanced forecasting techniques to anticipate demand fluctuations and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to optimize cost-effectiveness and reliability.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage the transportation and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and minimize transportation costs. Evaluate and optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate supply chain processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices, automation, and technology solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures throughout the supply chain to uphold product quality and compliance standards. Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain high-quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess supply chain risks, such as supplier disruptions, market volatility, and geopolitical factors. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize the impact on operations.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the supply chain team, including training, mentoring, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to drive team success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related fields. Freshers with relevant internships or coursework will also be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
