Job Description:
As a forklift operator, you will be responsible for operating industrial trucks to transport materials and goods around our warehouse and storage facilities. Your primary duties will include:
- Safe Operation: Operating forklifts and other industrial trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all our forklift operators to prioritize safety in every aspect of their work.
- Material Handling: Transporting materials and goods to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery trucks, and other designated areas within the warehouse. You will be responsible for carefully handling various types of cargo, ensuring that they are safely secured during transportation.
- Inventory Management: Assisting in inventory management tasks, including stocktaking, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation. Attention to detail is essential to ensure accurate record-keeping and inventory control.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning. Reporting any mechanical issues or defects to the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. Effective communication and teamwork are key to success in this role.
- Adherence to Regulations: Following all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures related to forklift operation and warehouse safety. This includes proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: While prior experience as a forklift operator is preferred, we also welcome freshers who are eager to learn and grow in this role. Comprehensive training will be provided to all new hires to ensure proficiency in forklift operation and safety procedures.
