Job Description:

As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and security of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, resolving any issues promptly to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance and Upkeep: Install, configure, and maintain servers, desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment. Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest software patches and security updates.
2. Network Management: Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
3. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly. Assist users with system configurations, software installations, and access permissions.
4. Security Enhancement: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT assets from cyber threats and unauthorized access. Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for data protection.
5. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity in case of system failures or disasters.
6. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
7. Technology Evaluation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure. Evaluate new hardware, software, and tools to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus.
• Experience: Prior experience in system administration or IT support roles is preferred but not mandatory. Freshers with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and server administration (Active Directory, Exchange). Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is desirable.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
