Job Title: System Administrator

Location: Chennai

Role Overview:

As a System Administrator, you will be crucial in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of our systems, networks, and servers while implementing security measures to safeguard against potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and system backups to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
2. Network Administration: Monitor network activity, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and configure routers, switches, and firewalls to maintain a secure and efficient network environment.
3. Server Management: Manage server configurations, install and configure software, and troubleshoot server-related issues to ensure uninterrupted service availability.
4. Security Implementation: Implement security protocols and procedures to protect our systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.
5. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolve IT-related queries, and assist with software installations and troubleshooting.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network layouts, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address IT infrastructure needs, participate in project planning and implementation, and contribute to the overall success of IT initiatives.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus.
• Experience: While prior experience in system administration is preferred, we also welcome applications from fresher candidates with a strong passion for technology and a willingness to learn.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking concepts, server administration, and security protocols. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is desirable.
