Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Systems Administration & Maintenance

Core Duties

  • Manage deployment, maintenance, and tuning of Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
  • Ensure optimal performance of system services, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
  • Create and manage Group Policies that align with compliance and operational goals.
  • Analyze log data, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Use scripting and automation to streamline recurring administrative tasks.

Security & Compliance

Core Duties

  • Enforce identity and access management policies in Active Directory and Azure AD.
  • Apply updates, patches, and firmware consistently across all Windows environments.
  • Coordinate with IT security teams to run internal audits and compliance tests.
  • Implement encryption, firewall rules, and endpoint protections using approved tools.
  • Maintain audit trails and reports for regulatory documentation.

Backup, Recovery & Incident Response

Core Duties

  • Design and implement backup strategies to ensure redundancy and disaster preparedness.
  • Conduct routine backup verifications and failover simulations.
  • Respond rapidly to service outages or malware threats.
  • Lead post-incident analysis to identify gaps and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain procedural documentation and recovery playbooks.

User & Service Support

Core Duties

  • Act as an escalation point for complex system access or configuration issues.
  • Support help desk operations by enabling system visibility and resolution paths.
  • Train junior team members on standard system administration protocols.
  • Contribute to knowledge bases and internal runbooks.
  • Assist with workstation image creation, patching, and remote provisioning.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

Core Skills

  • Minimum 4 years of Windows Server administration experience
  • In-depth understanding of networking protocols, including DNS and LDAP
  • Proven skills in PowerShell or related scripting languages
  • Experience working in virtualized and remote-access environments
  • Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST or ISO 27001

Salary and Compensation

The base salary for this position is $88,927 annually. Additional perks include:
