Remote Senior QA Engineer
Description
Remote Senior QA Engineer
About the Role
Weโre hiring a Remote Senior QA Engineer who cares deeply about building dependable, user-friendly software. This fully remote role places you at the heart of our quality strategy, helping shape how we test, release, and continuously improve products. With an annual salary of $110,828, youโll enjoy autonomy and support while working from wherever you thrive best.
What You Will Be Doing
Youโll bring structure to our testing effortsโdefining processes, spotting issues early, and leading our commitment to quality. Each day, youโll design and implement test plans, dig deep into exploratory testing, and automate what matters most. Youโll help launch features that work right the first time and keep them running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute test strategies that support development goals and timelines.
- Build and maintain automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Strengthen our CI/CD process by introducing test gates and automating validation.
- Explore applications across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
- Mentor QA colleagues and share knowledge through collaborative reviews.
- Work closely with engineers, product owners, and designers to raise quality standards.
- Investigate, reproduce, and prioritize bugs using real user scenarios.
- Champion behavior-driven development (BDD) to unify teams around shared outcomes.
Who You Will Work With
Youโll work alongside a diverse team that spans disciplines and time zones. We encourage open communication, mutual respect, and celebrate the unique perspectives each team member brings. Collaboration here is rooted in kindness, and feedback is part of our culture.
One of our QA engineers began in customer support and progressed to become an automation lead, thanks to mentoring and a culture that values curiosity and innovation. Thatโs just one example of how we invest in people, not just roles.
Tools and Technologies Youโll Use
- Automation: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright
- CI/CD: Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions
- Bug Tracking: Jira, Linear
- Test Management: TestRail, Zephyr
- Collaboration: Slack, Miro, Notion
- Version Control: Git, GitHub
You donโt need to know every toolโwhat matters most is your ability to learn and adapt.
