About the Role
We’re hiring a Remote Quality Assurance Engineer to help ensure the integrity and reliability of the digital experiences we deliver every day. This role is more than just running tests — it’s about shaping the future of quality across distributed systems, building empathy for end-users, and embedding quality thinking into every stage of product development. - Contribute to agile processes by identifying potential risks and advocating for testability early in design.
- Work closely with developers, UX professionals, and product stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria.
Manual and Automated Testing Execution
- Design robust test plans and cases that reflect real-user scenarios and edge cases.
- Utilize modern automation frameworks, such as Cypress, Selenium, and Playwright, to create reliable and scalable tests.
- Perform regression testing, exploratory testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Leverage browser-based testing platforms like BrowserStack to ensure multi-device consistency.
Continuous Feedback and Reporting
- Deliver insightful test reports with clear defect documentation and actionable feedback.
- Identify patterns in bugs and partner with engineers to solve systemic issues.
- Share quality metrics that highlight both wins and areas for improvement.

Inclusive Culture and Remote-First Values
Here, work-life harmony isn’t a slogan — it’s the default. We’ve built a workplace where asynchronous communication, empathy-driven leadership, and self-managed schedules empower our team to do their best work. Whether you’re juggling childcare, managing chronic health needs, or simply looking for the freedom to work without commuting, we support you.
Our workforce spans multiple continents and cultures. We are an equal opportunity employer that thrives on the strength of our diversity. From first-generation college graduates to experienced engineers re-entering tech after a break, everyone contributes to the team’s success.
Real Stories from Our QA Team
Nina, a former customer support rep turned QA engineer, joined our team with no prior coding experience. In just one year, she became the owner of our mobile automation framework, thanks to mentorship and a structured onboarding path. Another team member, Raj, relocated from India to Canada while remaining fully embedded in the team’s QA efforts, thanks to flexible scheduling and transparent documentation practices.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated workflows.
- Firm grasp of Agile methodologies, user stories, and release cycles.
- Ability to write, debug, and maintain test scripts across multiple environments.
- Experience with REST APIs and automated backend testing.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber and Gherkin syntax
- Background in performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
- An eye for user behavior and UX feedback
Collaboration and Team Environment
You won’t be siloed — QA is integrated into every aspect of the product lifecycle here. You’ll pair with engineers on test strategy, partner with product leads to understand evolving requirements, and work alongside support teams to validate real-world bugs. Every sprint includes retrospectives where QA voices are heard, and decisions are made as a team.
The entire company operates under a blameless culture, where root cause analysis and curiosity are valued over finger-pointing. Our QA engineers often lead internal lunch-and-learn sessions, run shadowing programs for interns, and take ownership of quality roadmaps.
Growth and Learning Support
We’re deeply invested in your professional development. As a QA engineer on our team, you’ll have access to:
- A $1,000 annual learning stipend for certifications, books, or courses
- Career progression paths that include senior QA roles, SDET opportunities, or test architecture leadership
- Bi-weekly team demo sessions to share learnings and improvements
- Monthly 1:1s focused on both career growth and well-being
Impact and Outcomes
The work you do directly impacts how our customers trust our products. A single overlooked bug in QA could affect thousands, and a well-written test could prevent it altogether. Our most successful QA engineers treat testing not as a task but as a craft — something that grows through thoughtful iteration, collaboration, and care.
You’ll help shape not just what we release, but how we define success.
Why Join Us
We know that great QA engineers are curious thinkers, proactive collaborators, and skilled communicators. We’re not looking for perfection — we’re looking for someone who loves learning, values diversity, and believes that inclusive, functional software should be the default.
You’ll find a place where your perspective matters, your work is meaningful, and your growth is supported. If you want to contribute to a team that respects the details and empowers its people, you’ve found your match.
