Core Responsibilities
System Administration and Support
Key Duties
- Configure, monitor, and maintain production-grade Linux servers in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Proactively troubleshoot system issues, conduct root cause analyses, and deploy permanent solutions.
- Manage user access, implement permissions, and enforce security protocols across systems.
Automation and Scripting
Key Duties
- Design, write, and maintain shell scripts and automation tools using Bash, Python, or Ansible
- Streamline configuration management and deployment processes using tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
Performance and Reliability
Key Duties
- Monitor infrastructure performance using metrics and logs via tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Conduct system audits to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness
- Optimize system parameters and kernel tuning for best-in-class performance
Security and Compliance
Key Duties
- Maintain and enforce security best practices, including patch management, firewall configuration, and access control.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement hardened configurations and audit trails.

Operating Systems and Containers
- Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Infrastructure and Monitoring Tools

- Prometheus, Zabbix, Nagios, and Grafana for performance monitoring
- Terraform, Ansible, and Git for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
Scripting and Automation Languages

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Linux-based environments remotely

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments
