About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation
- Design and deploy Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Oversee containerized workloads deployed across cloud-native and hybrid platforms
- Integrate continuous delivery pipelines with Helm and ArgoCD for seamless deployments
System Monitoring & Optimization
- Implement logging and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and Fluentd
- Perform capacity planning and identify system bottlenecks using real-time metrics
- Optimize resource usage across containers and pods to maintain high availability
Security & Compliance
- Automate security controls for Kubernetes workloads using OPA/Gatekeeper
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) policies and ensure least privilege
- Support compliance audits by maintaining robust documentation and logs
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with development teams to define deployment strategies
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives among peers and enhance internal tooling
- Join the incident response schedule to troubleshoot urgent incidents and conduct postmortems
Tools and Technologies You'll Use
- Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE) for orchestrating microservices
- Terraform, Ansible, and Helm for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD for automation workflows and deployment pipelines
- Docker and Podman for containerization and image lifecycle
- Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki for monitoring, alerting, and logging
- Vault, Istio, and OPA for secure service mesh and policy enforcement
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you will have:
- Successfully deployed multiple microservices using Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts
- Automated core infrastructure with reusable Terraform modules
- Reduced CI/CD execution times by at least 20% through pipeline optimization
- Contributed to a production incident postmortem with actionable remediations
- Established monitoring dashboards and alerting thresholds for a critical workload
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with a strong focus on Kubernetes
- Proficient in scripting languages like Bash or Python for automation
- In-depth knowledge of container orchestration, service discovery, and workload scaling
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipeline design and deployment workflows
