Remote ERP Software Tester

Description

Remote ERP Software Tester

Be the Gatekeeper of Quality in a Remote-First World

Can you identify subtle issues that others miss and detect process gaps before they slow down a team? Imagine shaping ERP solutions that thousands of distributed teams count on—your eye for detail ensures every release is smooth, every workflow intuitive, and every user experience exceptional. Here, testing isn’t about box-checking; it’s about crafting reliability, scalability, and trust into every build. If you believe remote software testing is more than finding faults—it's about guaranteeing confidence at scale—let’s talk about how you’ll set new standards with us.

Your Mission: Transform Testing into a User-Centric Craft

You’ll champion rigorous testing strategies, blending manual exploration with automated checks to create feedback loops that accelerate delivery and deepen product quality. Each scenario you design mirrors real business needs, ensuring that every module—whether finance, supply chain, or HR—works seamlessly. You'll thrive in a culture that values curiosity and insight over routine. Instead of waiting for instructions, you’ll take ownership, shaping validation workflows that empower product teams and users alike.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll orchestrate test cycles that extend beyond the obvious—stress testing integrations, simulating user journeys across ERP modules, and anticipating edge cases that are often overlooked. Your bug reports don’t just highlight problems; they tell stories, offering context, steps, and suggestions that fast-track solutions. Expect to collaborate with product managers to define business logic, engineers to refine code, and support teams to capture live feedback from real-world users. Throughout it all, your work will have a direct impact on uptime, data accuracy, and feature adoption across our global client base.

Core Responsibilities

Quality Assurance That Goes Beyond Surface Checks

  • Build and execute test plans for new ERP features, modules, and integrations, adapting coverage to align with business priorities and the impact on customers.
  • Combine exploratory testing with robust automation scripts to accelerate regression cycles without sacrificing depth.
  • Dig into API, UI, and end-to-end flows, using real-world business scenarios and diverse datasets to uncover hidden defects.
  • Partner with engineering to resolve issues, bringing empathy and technical clarity to every conversation.
  • Monitor defect trends, surfacing insights to drive preventive improvements in both process and product.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with design, engineering, and implementation teams to align testing with real user stories, ensuring that what is shipped matches what is promised.
  • Take feedback from customer support and translate it into actionable test coverage, closing the loop between front-line experience and backend logic.
  • Present your findings in ways that everyone can grasp—whether it’s technical troubleshooting or user impact summaries, you turn complexity into clarity.

Tools, Environments & Continuous Learning

  • Utilize Jira and TestRail (or similar tools) to track bugs and document test results, ensuring transparency across every sprint.
  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress), striking a balance between speed and stability.
  • Test across multiple environments—cloud and on-premise—validating upgrades and hotfixes before they reach customers.
  • Stay on top of ERP industry trends, testing tools, and QA best practices, so the team is constantly improving and always ahead.

What Makes You Right for This Role?

Mindset & Experience

  • You treat every bug as a puzzle, not a nuisance—digging deeper, connecting dots, and looking at every challenge from the user’s perspective.
  • Previous experience testing ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar) gives you a head start, but what matters most is your hunger to learn and adapt.
  • Comfort working in remote, distributed teams—you’ve mastered async communication and know how to keep collaboration alive through digital channels.
  • You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s over Zoom, Slack, or a detailed Jira ticket.

Technical Prowess

  • Firm grasp of QA methodologies, test design, and automation frameworks; you’re just as comfortable writing test scripts as you are mapping business flows.
  • Hands-on with database queries (SQL), API validation, and integration testing; your toolbelt adapts to the challenge.
  • Experience working in agile, iterative environments—you keep pace without compromising on quality.
  • Curiosity for ERP data flows, business process automation, and user permission models—your questions drive better product outcomes.

Work Environment & Culture

You’ll work in a globally distributed team that respects focus time and values deep work. We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to delve into details and ask, “What if?” The environment thrives on transparency, feedback, and shared goals—everyone pulls in the same direction, and your insights truly shape the product. Whether you’re logging bugs from your home office or collaborating across time zones, you’ll always feel connected and supported.

Tools You’ll Use

Your toolkit will include Jira for tracking, Slack for rapid communication, and a mix of manual and automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Postman). For ERP-specific testing, you’ll simulate complex permission matrices, multi-step workflows, and integrations with third-party platforms. You'll use analytics dashboards to monitor test coverage and quality metrics, surfacing real insights from real data.

Growth & Impact

Your testing insights won’t just safeguard releases—they’ll influence roadmap prioritization, feature lifecycle decisions, and long-term architectural choices. As the landscape of remote collaboration tools and ERP solutions evolves, you’ll help us stay ahead, identifying new ways to test, measure, and deliver value. There’s room to shape your path here—whether that means growing into QA leadership, automation architecture, or ERP product strategy.

Compensation & Benefits

Bring your best—you’ll earn $90,490 per year, with additional perks tailored for remote work: flexible hours, generous leave, professional development stipends, and a team that values results over routine. You’ll find that your contributions are seen, celebrated, and rewarded.
