Key Responsibilities

  • Develop modular, scalable, and standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement browser-specific fixes using progressive enhancement and graceful degradation.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to maintain fidelity between mockups and browser rendering.
  • Use dev tools, emulators, and responsive design frameworks to test breakpoints and behavior.
  • Create detailed documentation and diagnostic reports for recurring cross-browser issues.
  • Lead internal workshops on compatibility testing strategies and common pitfalls.
  • Integrate accessibility best practices into cross-browser solutions.
  • Monitor performance benchmarks and optimize browser rendering time.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with frontend web development and browser compatibility testing
  • In-depth knowledge of rendering differences across engines (Blink, Gecko, WebKit)
  • Proficiency with responsive and adaptive design techniques
  • Familiarity with polyfills and fallback strategies for legacy browser support
  • Comfort debugging z-index issues, stacking contexts, and rendering anomalies

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to quickly diagnose visual and functional discrepancies in code
  • Strong written documentation and reporting skills
  • Highly organized with an aptitude for research and experimentation
