About the Role

In this fully remote position, you'll take the lead on automating infrastructure management using Ansible and related automation tools. You'll work across distributed environments, optimizing deployment pipelines, enhancing configuration management practices, and collaborating on systems engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation
- Develop, maintain, and scale Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration and deployment tasks.
- Implement self-healing infrastructure techniques to minimize downtime
- Enforce idempotent infrastructure as code practices across environments
CI/CD Pipeline Integration
- Design Ansible-based workflows that integrate with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms
- Troubleshoot and optimize build pipelines to accelerate delivery cycles
- Maintain high standards for code versioning, peer reviews, and audit trails
Systems Reliability & Performance
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers to implement proactive monitoring using tools like Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana.
- Optimize Ansible inventory management for distributed, hybrid, and multi-cloud systems.
- Develop scalable orchestration strategies that align with high availability standards.

Tools & Technologies
Our infrastructure ecosystem is diverse, dynamic, and constantly evolving. Some of the core tools you'll use include:
- Ansible Tower/AWX for enterprise-grade automation
- Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Terraform and Packer for infrastructure provisioning
- Linux/Unix environments, especially Red Hat and Debian-based systems
- GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Secrets management via HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible automation
- Strong command-line experience in *nix systems
- Expertise in YAML scripting and templating for complex playbooks
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments
- Familiarity with Git workflows and source control best practices
Preferred Credentials
