About the Role

We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented Remote Ansible Engineer to join our innovative DevOps team. Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Automation

• Develop, maintain, and scale Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration and deployment tasks.
• Implement self-healing infrastructure techniques to minimize downtime
• Enforce idempotent infrastructure as code practices across environments

CI/CD Pipeline Integration

• Design Ansible-based workflows that integrate with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms
• Troubleshoot and optimize build pipelines to accelerate delivery cycles
• Maintain high standards for code versioning, peer reviews, and audit trails

Systems Reliability & Performance

• Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers to implement proactive monitoring using tools like Prometheus, ELK, and Grafana.
• Optimize Ansible inventory management for distributed, hybrid, and multi-cloud systems.
• Develop scalable orchestration strategies that align with high availability standards.

Tools & Technologies

• Ansible Tower/AWX for enterprise-grade automation
• Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
• Terraform and Packer for infrastructure provisioning
• Linux/Unix environments, especially Red Hat and Debian-based systems
• GitOps workflows using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Secrets management via HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager

Qualifications

Required Skills

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible automation
• Strong command-line experience in *nix systems
• Expertise in YAML scripting and templating for complex playbooks
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments
• Familiarity with Git workflows and source control best practices

Preferred Credentials
