What You’ll Be Doing

Concept Development

• Team up with animators, writers, and creative leads to develop expressive concepts
• Turn early ideas into animation-ready illustration plans
• Adjust your creative style to match varied projects while maintaining consistency

Illustration for Animation

• Design character sheets, scenic visuals, and environment elements
• Create clean, layered illustrations that integrate seamlessly into animation pipelines
• Think ahead about motion, timing, and transitions as you illustrate

Collaboration and Feedback

• Work hand-in-hand with motion artists to shape fluid, emotionally resonant animations.
• Join regular virtual check-ins to share progress and gather feedback
• Revise designs based on input from animation and storytelling leads

Brand and Project Alignment

• Ensure your artwork matches the tone, message, and intended audience
• Collaborate with marketing and experience teams to adapt visuals for various channels
• Reflect diversity and inclusivity in character representation and storytelling choices

• Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills

• A standout portfolio featuring animation-friendly illustrations
• Solid grasp of digital illustration techniques and visual storytelling
• Strong understanding of character dynamics and composition
• Ability to prep layered artwork for animation workflows

Preferred Background

• At least 3 years of experience in animation, visual art, or similar creative roles
• Remote work experience with diverse, globally distributed teams
• Knowledge of animation principles and collaborative pipelines
• Thoughtful approach to inclusive representation in design

Soft Skills

• Clear and kind communication in remote team settings
• Open to feedback and confident in giving constructive input
• Able to manage deadlines with flexibility and accountability
