About the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and identify potential areas of improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to design and execute test plans, conduct manual and automated tests, and analyze results to identify defects and areas for optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure test coverage and effectiveness.
- Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, usability, and security. Identify and report defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Test Automation: Continuously improve testing processes by implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts. Streamline repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Defect Management: Track and prioritize defects using issue-tracking systems. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and closure of issues.
- Quality Advocacy: Act as a champion for quality within the organization by promoting best practices, conducting training sessions, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts. Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to all stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is desirable.
