Job Description: As a Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a diverse range of psychological issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. You will collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs and goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting individual and group therapy sessions, administering psychological assessments, and providing crisis intervention when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough psychological assessments to gain insight into clients' presenting concerns, emotional functioning, and psychosocial history. Utilize standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews to formulate accurate diagnoses under diagnostic criteria.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups using various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Foster a supportive therapeutic environment conducive to emotional exploration and growth.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address their therapeutic goals and objectives. Monitor progress regularly and adjust interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Psychoeducation: Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and self-care practices to empower them in managing their emotional well-being outside of therapy sessions. Promote awareness and destigmatization of mental health issues within the community.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention in crises, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, and acute psychological distress. Implement appropriate safety protocols and coordinate referrals to emergency services as required.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal standards. Document session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports promptly to facilitate continuity of care and interdisciplinary communication.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Registration or licensure with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., Rehabilitation Council of India, Maharashtra State Council of Examinations) is preferred.
- Strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and empathy to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality guidelines.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi; additional language skills are advantageous.
