3. Insurance Verification: Verify patients' insurance coverage and eligibility before services being rendered. Communicate with insurance providers to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
4. Coding Accuracy: Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes. Stay updated on coding guidelines and changes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
5. Claims Follow-Up: Monitor the status of submitted claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims. Identify and resolve billing errors or discrepancies to expedite reimbursement.
6. Patient Communication: Assist patients with billing inquiries, explain insurance coverage and billing processes, and provide assistance in resolving billing disputes or issues.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification in medical billing and coding is preferred.
