Job Description:

Cataloging and Classification: Utilizing library management software and systems to catalog, classify, and index materials according to established standards (such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification). Your attention to detail and accuracy will ensure efficient retrieval of resources for library users.
3. Reference Services: Assisting patrons in locating information, conducting research, and answering inquiries both in-person and electronically. You will guide on using library resources effectively and offer recommendations based on individual interests and requirements.
4. Reader Services: Promoting reading initiatives, literacy programs, and cultural events to encourage community engagement with our library. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative programs that appeal to diverse age groups and foster a love of reading from an early age.
5. Administrative Tasks: Overseeing circulation activities, including issuing library cards, processing returns, and managing overdue materials. You will maintain accurate records, generate reports, and handle administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the library.
6. Technology Integration: Embracing emerging technologies and digital resources to enhance the library experience. You will assist patrons in accessing e-books, online databases, and multimedia resources, guiding digital literacy skills as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in library science, information science, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with a strong passion for librarianship and relevant experience will also be considered.
