Job Description:

As a Lab Technician, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Performing Laboratory Tests: Conducting a wide range of diagnostic tests, including blood tests, urinalysis, microbiological cultures, and other procedures as required.
2. Sample Collection and Processing: Collecting samples from patients, labeling them accurately, and ensuring proper handling and processing to maintain the integrity of the specimens.
3. Operating Laboratory Equipment: Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, and other specialized instruments to ensure accurate test results.
4. Data Entry and Record Keeping: Record test results accurately, maintain detailed records of all tests conducted and enter data into electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
5. Quality Control: Performing routine quality control checks on laboratory equipment and reagents to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
6. Adhering to Safety Protocols: Following strict safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of contamination and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
7. Collaboration: Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and medical technologists, to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Requirements:

• Education: A degree or diploma from a recognized institution in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field.
• Certification: Valid certification as a Lab Technician or Medical Laboratory Technologist is preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates.
• Experience: Freshers are welcome to apply, while experienced candidates should have prior experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, proficiency in operating laboratory equipment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
