Description
Remote Visual Development Artist
Imagine, Design, and Shape the Future — All From Your Canvas at Home
A Story of Vision and Vibes
Picture this: a remote-first creative studio launched by a handful of dreamers who believed in the power of immersive storytelling and boundary-pushing visuals. Today, we’re a fast-growing force in entertainment, crafting fantastical worlds for animated features, interactive media, and concept-heavy productions that captivate global audiences. Our team is a vibrant constellation of artists, animators, and creators who value originality, collaboration, and wild imagination. We’re not just about pixels — we’re about purpose, passion, and painting the future one frame at a time. If your brush dances to the beat of creative freedom, you’ll feel right at home here.
Your Role in the Creative Universe
What You’ll Be Creating
As our Remote Visual Development Artist, you'll wield your stylus like a storyteller, transforming scripts into stunning concept art that shapes entire universes. Your work will be the foundation for set design, lighting, color mood, and the overall visual language of each project. Whether it’s eerie forests, futuristic cities, or whimsical villages, you’ll paint the essence of our stories before a single frame is animated.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop key environment and character concept art based on scripts and creative briefs
- Visualize design directions with mood boards, color scripts, and exploratory sketches
- Collaborate with art directors, writers, and 3D modelers to bring visual ideas to life
- Explore different styles while maintaining thematic cohesion across project timelines
- Translate narrative tone into visual storytelling that guides other departments
- Stay in sync with creative milestones and provide updates in remote team meetings
Where You’ll Work — And How
Flexible, Fully Remote
Work from your studio space, garden nook, or wherever your creativity flows best. This role is 100% remote, empowering you to contribute from anywhere while staying connected through regular video check-ins, Slack threads, and creative reviews. We believe in asynchronous freedom and structured communication.
Tools of the Trade
We embrace a streamlined tech stack designed for seamless collaboration. You’ll be using industry-standard software like Adobe Photoshop, Procreate, Blender (for optional 3D blocking), and cloud-based platforms like Frame.io and Miro to exchange feedback, present your work, and stay aligned with our art pipeline. We also provide access to an in-house digital asset library for inspiration and reuse.
