As a logistics coordinator, you will be at the heart of our operations and will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics process from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination and Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to efficiently plan and execute logistics operations. Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock levels. Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and optimize inventory turnover.
- Supplier and Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to maximize cost savings and enhance service quality.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all shipping and regulatory documentation is completed accurately and complies with local and international regulations. Maintain up-to-date records of shipments, invoices, and other relevant documentation.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance performance.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding shipments, delivery schedules, and other logistics-related matters. Provide timely and satisfactory resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the logistics function. Implement innovative solutions to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Minimum qualification of a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications or diplomas are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred but not mandatory. Fresh graduates with a passion for logistics are encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil. Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Computer Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and logistics management software. Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
