Job Description:
As a Fashion Designer with our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing a wide range of apparel and accessories. From initial sketches to final product samples, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's aesthetic and identity. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate market trends will be essential in creating collections that captivate our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization: Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and develop innovative concepts for seasonal collections. Stay updated on the latest fashion trends, fabrics, and techniques to ensure designs are fresh and relevant.
- Sketching and Rendering: Translate conceptual ideas into detailed sketches and digital renderings. Experiment with various silhouettes, prints, and embellishments to create visually striking designs.
- Technical Design: Work closely with pattern makers and sample machinists to create technical specifications and prototypes. Ensure that designs are executed accurately and meet quality standards.
- Fabric and Trim Selection: Source and evaluate each collection's fabrics, trims, and materials. Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
- Prototype Development: Oversee the development of prototypes and sample garments. Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit and silhouette.
- Collection Presentation: Prepare presentations and mood boards to communicate design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders. Participate in design reviews and presentations to showcase new collections.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify consumer preferences and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform design decisions and product development strategies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and production, to align product vision and timelines. Communicate effectively to ensure seamless execution of design projects.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a keen eye for detail and uphold quality standards throughout the design process. Conduct quality inspections of samples and final products to identify any issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Experience: Freshers are welcome to apply, while experienced candidates should have a proven track record in fashion design.
- Skills: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and textile techniques.
