Position Overview: As a Translator, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication between individuals or groups who speak different languages. You will be responsible for accurately translating written, spoken, or signed content from one language to another while preserving the original meaning and intent. This role requires a high level of linguistic proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Translation: Translate a wide range of content including documents, articles, reports, emails, websites, multimedia presentations, and more from the source language to the target language.
2. Interpretation: Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, interviews, and other events as required.
3. Proofreading and Editing: Review translated materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity of language, making necessary revisions or corrections as needed.
4. Cultural Adaptation: Understand cultural nuances and context to ensure translations are culturally appropriate and resonate with the target audience.
5. Research: Conduct research to familiarize yourself with specialized terminology and industry-specific jargon to enhance the quality of translations.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and subject matter experts to clarify ambiguous terms or concepts and ensure accurate interpretation.
7. Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards in all translations by adhering to established guidelines, standards, and best practices.
8. Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines and delivering high-quality work within the specified timeframe.
9. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on linguistic trends, developments, and advancements to enhance your skills and knowledge in translation techniques and tools.
10. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements, address queries or concerns, and provide regular updates on project progress.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficiency in at least two languages, including English and Hindi. Additional languages are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both the source and target languages.
• Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills in both languages.
• Cultural awareness and sensitivity to nuances in language and expression.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in translations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Prior experience in translation or interpretation is preferred but not mandatory for fresher candidates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools is an advantage.
