Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, integrating seamlessly into robust testing frameworks.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to gather functional specifications and refine acceptance criteria through behavior-driven development (BDD) methodologies.
• Contribute to continuous integration strategies by incorporating automation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring test execution in remote test environments.
• Conduct performance, regression, and cross-browser compatibility tests to validate software functionality across devices and platforms.
• Document defects using issue tracking tools such as JIRA, and work with developers to resolve software inconsistencies and bugs efficiently.
• Maintain test cases and testing data using tools like TestNG, Cucumber, or JUnit to reflect changing requirements and application enhancements.
• Generate detailed test reports and metrics that communicate quality trends, test coverage, and bug resolution rates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like

First 90 Days

• Own test automation for at least one central product module
• Create measurable improvements in automated test coverage
• Identify and eliminate high-priority defects before release
• Build rapport with developers and QA engineers through actionable feedback
• Enhance existing frameworks to reduce flaky test rates and execution times

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in automation testing with hands-on expertise in Selenium-based test automation
• Strong knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript for scripting automated test cases
• Experience with version control systems like Git and cloud-based repositories
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and exposure to Scrum or Kanban environments
• Prior use of CI/CD tools, integrating automation within deployment pipelines
• Ability to write detailed test cases, execute exploratory testing, and communicate findings clearly
• A passion for clean code, quality metrics, and continuous process improvement

Preferred but Not Mandatory

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
• Exposure to mobile testing frameworks such as Appium
• Understanding of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
