Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation
- Assist in designing, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Implement basic Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Support automated system provisioning and configuration using Ansible or similar tools.
Cloud Operations
- Monitor cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for availability and performance.
- Execute backup and recovery processes with guidance from senior engineers
- Collaborate in managing Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers to ensure smooth application lifecycle management
Code Integration & Deployment
- Troubleshoot build failures and assist in merging code using Git version control.
- Participate in release management and contribute to iterative deployment processes.
- Document deployment workflows and assist in post-deployment monitoring
Incident Response & Monitoring
- Set up and maintain observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Participate in root cause analysis for service disruptions under the guidance of a mentor.
- Respond to basic incident tickets and learn escalation processes for critical issues.
