- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory. Conduct regular audits, analyze inventory turnover rates, and implement inventory optimization techniques to maximize asset utilization and reduce carrying costs.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to establish quality standards and specifications for purchased goods and services. Monitor product quality, conduct supplier audits, and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from established standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements governing procurement activities, including vendor contracts, import/export regulations, and ethical sourcing practices. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements. Prepare reports and analyses to track procurement performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
