About the Role:

As a Librarian, you will play a pivotal role in managing our library's resources, assisting patrons in their quest for knowledge, and creating a welcoming environment conducive to learning. Your responsibilities will include:

3. Reader Services: Offering guidance and recommendations to patrons on suitable reading materials, facilitating book loans, and managing reservations and returns.
4. Information Literacy: Conducting workshops and instructional sessions to promote information literacy skills among library users, including research techniques, database navigation, and citation practices.
5. Technology Integration: Leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance access to library resources, including online catalogs, e-books, databases, and virtual reference services.
6. Community Engagement: Developing and implementing programs and events to engage the local community, such as book clubs, author talks, storytelling sessions, and educational workshops.
7. Administrative Tasks: Performing routine administrative duties, such as maintaining circulation records, managing budgets, and overseeing the library's physical space and equipment.

Requirements:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field is preferred. However, candidates with a passion for librarianship and relevant experience will also be considered.
• Knowledge: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with library classification systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal Classification, Library of Congress Classification) are essential.
