Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update general ledgers with high accuracy and timeliness
• Post daily entries into accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Xero
• Conduct account comparisons, check financial records, and verify transactions
• ✉️ Generate invoices, apply for client payments, and reconcile receivables
• Prepare and distribute standard financial statements, including income reports, balance sheets, and profit-and-loss summaries
• Follow internal policies and national accounting guidelines in all reporting
• Digitize and archive critical financial records, such as vendor contracts, receipts, and payment confirmations
• Review and monitor cash balances and provide reports on income patterns or irregularities
• Identify any inconsistencies in financial activity and assist in resolving discrepancies
• Coordinate with internal finance staff and external accountants for audits, reviews, and compliance checks

Required Qualifications

• ✅ Minimum two years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
• ✅ Working knowledge of cloud-based accounting software including but not limited to QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar tools
• ✅ Solid understanding of core accounting concepts and reporting protocols
• ✅ Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to numerical accuracy
• ✅ Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• ✅ Ability to organize multiple tasks and prioritize urgent deadlines independently
• ✅ Competent in using spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) to analyze and summarize data
• ✅ Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance is preferred
• ✅ Experience working remotely or in a virtual finance department is advantageous
