Key Responsibilities:
- Network Maintenance: Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Troubleshoot network issues and ensure optimal performance and security.
- Server Administration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, both physical and virtual. Monitor server performance and implement necessary upgrades and patches.
- System Security: Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans. Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
- User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively. Create and maintain documentation and training materials to assist users in utilizing IT resources efficiently.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve technical problems reported by users or detected through monitoring systems. Identify root causes and implement permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor system performance and resource utilization to anticipate future requirements. Recommend upgrades and expansions to meet growing demands and ensure scalability.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in system administration or IT support roles is desirable but not required. Fresh graduates with a strong passion for technology and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, and server technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is advantageous.
