Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform, with a focus on modularization, versioning, and repeatability.
- Manage resource provisioning, networking, IAM policies, and automation scripts in Google Cloud.
- Utilize Deployment Manager and Terraform Cloud for scalable, automated deployments.
Cloud Architecture & Google Cloud Platform Management
- Architect, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure across multiple GCP services, including GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
- Apply network security principles such as private clusters, firewall rules, and VPC Service Controls.
- Manage IAM roles, billing configurations, and project hierarchies aligned with business requirements.
CI/CD and Release Engineering
- Build high-performance CI/CD workflows using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
- Enable canary releases, blue-green deployments, and rollback strategies.
- Automate code quality checks, image scanning, and artifact delivery pipelines.
Monitoring, Observability, and Incident Response
- Deploy and manage observability stacks using Google Cloud’s Operations Suite, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Define SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs that support proactive performance optimization.
- Drive incident reviews and postmortems while building dashboards and alerts that keep teams informed.
Security and Governance
- Implement secure key and secret management using Secret Manager and Vault.
- Establish compliance-ready practices (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA) across infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
- Continuously audit systems and enforce policy-as-code using tools like Config Validator.

Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles
- Extensive experience managing production workloads on GCP
- Fluency with Kubernetes deployments, autoscaling, and custom resource definitions
- Track record of building CI/CD systems with integration testing and rollback mechanisms
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, service accounts, and policy enforcement
- Comfortable working with GitOps workflows and infrastructure security practices
