Key Responsibilities
- Guide prospective students through every stage of the college application process.
- Conduct one-on-one consultations to assess academic goals and school preferences.
- Assist in preparing compelling personal statements and essays.
- Review and critique application materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Help students develop timelines and application strategies tailored to their interests.
- Provide feedback on resumes, extracurriculars, and recommendation letter strategies.
- Stay updated on admissions trends, scholarship opportunities, and university criteria.
- Deliver virtual workshops or webinars on college planning and essay writing.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress, advising notes, and follow-up plans.
- Communicate clearly with students and their families to manage expectations and deadlines effectively.
- Help students research academic programs, financial aid packages, and housing options.
- Prepare reports on advising outcomes and track student milestones.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in college advising, guidance counseling, or admissions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of U.S. college admissions and financial aid processes
- Experience supporting students with diverse academic and cultural backgrounds
- Excellent time management skills and multitasking abilities
- Technological fluency with standard remote tools and platforms
- Empathetic, student-centered approach to advising
- Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset for problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
