About the Role
Bring Clarity and Compassion to Employee Benefits
In this role, you’ll serve as the primary benefits liaison for team members across the organization. You’ll provide clear explanations of benefit plans, support enrollment tasks, and resolve benefit-related concerns with professionalism and care. By partnering with payroll, compliance, and HR departments, you’ll help ensure that all employee benefits are accurately delivered and fully aligned with policy requirements.
Whether helping a new employee choose the right health plan or assisting a team member with a dependent care change, your support will have a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily administration of health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Guide employees through benefit elections, qualifying events, and leave requests.
- Maintain accurate records within the internal HR software
- Work jointly with payroll and compliance teams to meet regulatory obligations
- Generate reports on plan participation and provide insight to leadership
- Conduct virtual sessions on benefit options during orientation and enrollment
- Recommend improvements based on employee feedback and participation data
- Manage vendor relationships and contribute to timely audit preparation
Tools & Technology
Digital Tools for Seamless Benefit Delivery
- Human Resources platforms (e.g., Gusto, BambooHR) for managing benefit information
- Messaging and video tools like Google Meet and Microsoft Teams for direct communication
- Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 for collaborative planning and document control
- Workflow management apps, including Notion or Monday.com, to track initiatives.
- Secure e-signature solutions for benefit acknowledgments and plan confirmations

Qualifications
Must-Haves for Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- 2+ years in benefits administration or HR coordination
- Strong knowledge of benefit laws such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
- High emotional intelligence and professionalism in sensitive situations
Preferred Experience
- Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, CEBS)
- Experience with remote-first organizations
- Familiarity with multiple state regulations regarding benefits
- Passion for health equity and inclusive benefit design
