Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, considering factors such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Analyze market trends, identify potential suppliers, and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
  2. Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluating their performance, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Collaborate with suppliers to optimize product quality, availability, and pricing.
  3. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. Utilize inventory management tools and systems to track inventory movement and optimize stock levels.
  4. Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier consolidation. Continuously review purchasing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
  5. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure purchased goods and services meet established standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability. Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions on operations.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies governing procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  8. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coach team members to develop their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 2-5 years for experienced candidates. Freshers are encouraged to apply and will receive comprehensive training.
