We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Purchase Manager to join our team in Gurgaon. Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, considering factors such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Analyze market trends, identify potential suppliers, and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
- Supplier Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, evaluating their performance, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly. Collaborate with suppliers to optimize product quality, availability, and pricing.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory. Utilize inventory management tools and systems to track inventory movement and optimize stock levels.
- Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier consolidation. Continuously review purchasing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure purchased goods and services meet established standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability. Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential disruptions on operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies governing procurement activities. Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coach team members to develop their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) are a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a minimum of 2-5 years for experienced candidates. Freshers are encouraged to apply and will receive comprehensive training.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with procurement software and ERP systems.
